Chemical peels can treat a wide range of skin concerns;
- Dull, ageing skin

Chemical Peel Contraindications
If any of the following apply to you make sure to discuss with me during your consultation;
- Active cold sores
- History of Keloid scarring
- History of radiation therapy or have undergone chemotherapy in the last 6 months prior to the treatment
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- If you have active acne and pustules
- Taking oral retinoids (Roaccutane) you must wait at least 12 months from taking this medication to have a peel
Aftercare
- Do not use products containing AHAs for a minimum of 24 hours
- Avoid direct sunlight for 48 hours and use SPF 35+ when outside
- Avoid excessive exercise for 24 hours
- No heat treatments for 24 hours
- Avoid make up for 24 hours
- No swimming for 48 hours
- Keep the skin moisturised and hydrated with specialised products
- If / when skin begins to peel (this will vary depending on the strength of the peel) do not peel or pick the skin as this could lead to scarring and pigmentation
- For best results a course of 3 to 6 peels are recommended
